Librarian II - Outreach

Outreach Librarian
Coordinates, plans, and oversees outreach services within the Library and the community. The Outreach Librarian strives to provide equitable access to library services to all members of the community by identifying under-served and at-risk populations, learning their needs, and developing and providing needed programs and services.  Presents programs for all ages in a variety of non-library locations and assists with home-bound and mobile services, including bookmobile operations.  Responsible for developing, planning, and promoting events for a diverse community.  Acts as a liaison between the library, the community, and external community organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in library science from a university or college accredited by the American Library Association, with a minimum of three (3) years of library experience. 

Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience, or one (1) year demonstrated experience overseeing projects or departmental functions, including task delegation and accountability.

Valid driver license required, with valid Florida driver license required within 30 days of hire.
